Andrew Hewitt is a Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He has a diverse background, from working as an EMT/Paramedic to serving in ICU and ER departments. Andrew’s passion for mental health drives his work. Outside of work, he enjoys collecting Funko Pops, cooking, and sharing dad jokes.

Karen Schwartz is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a master’s degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling. She specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and more. Karen enjoys family time, reading, and crocheting.

Haley is a licensed clinical social worker and therapist. Haley specializes in addiction, mental health, and trauma work. Haley has worked in a variety of roles in the past including crisis management/acute psychiatric care, residential and outpatient treatment counseling, and coordinating wrap-around services for various case management needs. She specializes in narrative based therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. In her free time she enjoys working out, cooking, exploring new places, and spending time with family and friends.

Haley is a Registered Nurse (BSN) with 7 years of nursing experience and a 19-year career in healthcare, including a significant focus on managing difficult or non-healing wounds. For the past 6 years, she has been dedicated to the specialized field of wound care and holds a wound care certification.

Her passion lies in continuously seeking and implementing strategies to improve healing outcomes, even for the most challenging wounds.

Zakiya Johnson, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 5 years of critical care experience who provides compassionate, evidence-based mental health care across the lifespan. She believes in a collaborative approach, partnering closely with patients, their families, and care teams to develop personalized treatment plans that promote lasting emotional well-being. Known for her empathetic communication and clinical insight, Zakiya is committed to empowering her patients through education and meaningful therapeutic relationships. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family and you might catch her shopping at the mall or relaxing on the beach, bringing that same warmth and balance into her practice.

Sarah Shortridge, Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern

Sarah is a trauma-informed therapist who brings warmth, curiosity, and depth into the therapy room. Grounded in polyvagal theory and nervous system regulation, she helps clients understand how their bodies hold and express stress, anxiety, and trauma. By pairing somatic work with evidence-based approaches, Sarah guides clients in building safety, resilience, and self-trust from the inside out.
With experience supporting clients through anxiety, depression, grief, relational challenges, and life transitions, Sarah creates a collaborative and non-judgmental space for healing. She also draws on a unique business background, which gives her insight into the pressures of high-performance environments and allows her to help clients balance ambition with well-being. Outside of sessions, Sarah enjoys cycling, paddle boarding, and traveling—having explored 38 countries (and counting). These experiences bring her a global perspective and a deep appreciation for resilience and growth across different cultures.

Nika Rios

Nika Rios, RILCSW

Nika Rios, RCSWI, MSW, EdD is a trauma-informed therapist specializing in addiction, depression, and anxiety. She helps clients understand patterns, regulate emotions, and build practical tools for lasting change. Her approach is compassionate, structured, and focused on real-life application, creating a supportive space for clients to heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves.
Nika provides individual, group, family, and couples therapy, supporting clients through a range of challenges including addiction, depression, stress, relationship issues, and chronic relapse. She uses evidence-based methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Motivational Interviewing to help clients build stability, confidence, and meaningful progress in recovery.
Having lived in multiple countries, Nika brings a culturally sensitive perspective to her work, allowing her to effectively support clients from diverse backgrounds with understanding and respect.
